Ireland’s Strategy for Latin America and the Caribbean to 2025 envisions a stepping-up of engagement with the thirty-three countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Strategy takes account of the historical links that Ireland has with the LAC region and the considerable opportunity to expand connections in the areas of trade, culture, education and others. It also reflects the deepening of Ireland’s relations with the region in recent years.

As new President of the Irish Mexican Chamber, Blaine Doyle, shared the Chambers vision for this new strategy stating, “The Irish Mexican Chamber is a focal point in connecting the Irish and Mexican business communities. With members ranging from multinationals to SMEs, both Mexican & Irish companies, we have created a support network that gives economic and cultural context to companies interested in the region. With a population of 130 million people, Mexico is the perfect beach head market for companies entering the Latin American and Caribbean markets. The recent fintech revolution and ongoing digital transformation of Mexico also positions this market as a launchpad into the rest of Latin America. We are proud to be part of Team Ireland, dedicated to supporting Irish companies and excited to be uniting the Latin American and Caribbean regions as a singular business network”.
